California Northstate University's dormitory plan for their College of Health Sciences has recently been approved and construction plans have begun. The dormitory is said to be a 5 story building (104,500 square foot) with 416 rooms, and a separate 9,237 square foot cafeteria building. The dormitory will be across from the College of Health Sciences campus, and should also include amenities like laundry facilities, a lounge and recreation facility, on-site vehicle charging stations, and bicycle parking. In addition, The Rancho Cordova City Council has made sure that this endeavor is compatible with the surrounding area and businesses, in an attempt to facilitate a smooth transition. The construction of this dormitory is hoping to give students quality housing and increased convenience in terms of commuting.
