Looking for a great, affordable, Italian restaurant that’s not Olive Garden? Why not go to the Old Spaghetti Factory located at the corner of Folsom Blvd and Nimbus Rd? Not only is the food amazing, the atmosphere is unforgettable—reminiscent of an actual old spaghetti factory. As for the menu, there are options for every palate and dietary restriction, including those who eat gluten-free food. Every meal is served in three courses.

For the starter, you can choose between soup or salad in addition to fresh baked-in-house bread. Pair this with some of the other amazing appetizers, like cheesy garlic bread or fried zucchini. Also, make sure to check out their milkshakes and Italian sodas, which are served in special souvenir cups that you can take home!

As for the entrée, there are a plethora of options ranging from traditional pastas to flavorful meat dishes. My personal favorite is the Mizithra Cheese and Browned Butter Pasta, a dish the restaurant is well-known for, which is perfect for someone who loves cheese. The last part of the meal is, of course, dessert! Included in the three courses is either a scoop of spumoni ice cream, which is a traditional layered Italian ice cream, or vanilla. If ice cream is not your thing, the Old Spaghetti Factory also sells various cakes and cheesecakes for dessert. Overall, the Old Spaghetti Factory is a fantastic place for a great sit-down meal with friends and family for around $15 per person.

Not only are there a lot of options, but the food is of high quality and the service is excellent. I’ve been going to this chain restaurant regularly since Homecoming my freshman year in high school, and I can confidently say that it always surpasses my expectations. Definitely try it out!
