THESE ARE THE MOST INSANE SPOTS IN SACRAMENTO THAT I’VE DISCOVERED SO FAR! Food Review by Shreya K

1. Ding Tea

Ding Tea is absolutely the best place for you to quench your thirst for BOBA TEA! I would say the key to their great tasting Boba is freshness, flavor, and uniqueness. Their tapioca balls are perfectly chewy and are complimented with the in-house brewed tea. In addition, they have a flower wall perfect for instagramming your Boba! When you go there, because you have to now, make sure to try their brown sugar Boba latte which is their best drink, in my opinion. AND get the medium size because the medium sized cup is cuter.

2. Hankook Tofu House This is the perfect place to get authentic Korean food, as well, what I consider to be the most important part of Korean food- SIDE DISHES. Their service is fast and the food is out of this country (because it’s Korean J). I would recommend getting either the Dol-Sot Bibimbap which is meat and/or vegetables over rice in a sizzling stone pot, or Tofu Soup. Their side dishes include potatoes, jelly, kimchi, stir-fry noodles, spicy zucchini, fried tofu, and much more.

3. Midtown’s Cantina Alley Not only is the food here to die for, but so is the atmosphere. First, the food literally transports you to Mexico. Ironically, because it has become so popular it is literally as busy as the streets of Mexico, but it is well worth the wait. Everything on the menu is amazing, but make sure to get the churros for dessert. The restaurant, itself, is actually outside and decorated with twinkly lights. The tables and chairs are rustic and the whole environment is very vibey. 10/10 would recommend!

4. Cafeteria 15L I literally have dreamed about their Mac & Cheese, because that’s how GOOD it is. This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Sacramento, and is a great spot to grab brunch or lunch. The inside is meticulously decorated, and very trendy. The food is good-old American cuisine- I recommend the Mac & Cheese of course and the truffle tater tots. Also, a must have at this restaurant, is one of their mocktails.

5. Artic Fox Shaved Ice and Desserts This is a unique spot as it mixes traditional Taiwanese taste with a contemporary American touch. Their shaved ice, although traditional, uses modern American flavors which allows everyone to enjoy it. Not only does it taste amazing, but it’s aesthetically pleasing. If you check this place out, definitely get their More Smores or Starburst!
