Volunteering in the Sacramento Area By Tejaswee Patel

The Greater Sacramento Area is full of opportunities and new activities to discover. There are numerous volunteering opportunities offered by the City of Sacramento and plenty of organizations dedicated to helping the community. This does not include all of the opportunities that are offered as events keep coming up. The Greater Sacramento Area comprises of over a hundred different organizations that need additional help. Keep in mind that Ms. Delgado is involved in numerous community outreach programs and can help with finding and organizing volunteering services. This list contains some organizations that I have heard of and some that CHS has connections through the Foundations of Service Learning class. Remember to check the requirements of each service as some have age requirements and some need background checks.
